Power VPN  - Month-to-Month Rental

Using standard ADSL lines we provide an VPN  solution over ADSL, bonded if required for higher throughput. Our VPN solution that is ideal for small businesses or businesses with small branches that need to connect to head-office. The ADSL line could be dedicated to the VPN, preventing its use for general Internet access or it could be used to provide a secure connection to head-office and Internet access to the branch.

Making use of ADSL for your VPN needs is a cost effective solution to networking your remote offices. It can also be used to provide secure remote access to "road-warriors" i.e your staff who are on the road such as sales reps.

Our VPN  solution can provide many other features such as firewalling and VoIP should this be required. We can use existing ADSL lines or provide connectivity if required. There is no ongoing monthly fee for the VPN solution other than the ADSL charges and bandwidth.

An installed ADSL line is a pre-requisite for this service, however no ADSL accounts is required as this is supplied with the service. In addition the service includes the rental of our ADSL/VPN router so no ADSL modem is required. The VPN router remains the property of Jumping Bean.

VPN Full

Our VPN full solution provides VPN functionality over dedicated links such as Metronet, WiMax and/or diginet. Our solution provides other features such as firewalling, web proxy and anti-virus and anti-spam if this is required. Typical scenarios include remote offices with VPN access to head office only, with all Internet traffic being routed through head-office's external connection.

By routing all Internet traffic through head-office, corporate usage and security policy can be enforced across the company easily and effectively.

We can provide the connections if required, or install the VPN solution on existing links. We can provide, WiMax and fibre links if required.

What is a Virtual Private Network?

"A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that uses a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or individual users with secure access to their organization's network. It aims to avoid an expensive system of owned or leased lines that can be used by only one organization. The goal of a VPN is to provide the organization with the same secure capabilities but at a much lower cost."

VPNS are ideal if:

  • You need to give branches access to the head office network or allow head office to access resources at branches transparently over the Internet,
  • You want to give your mobile workforce access to the office network while on the road or,
  • Your staff want to be able to connect to your offices network from home
By combining our VPN, firewall and clustering solutions large deployments can be robustly supported, allowing many remote users to simultaneously access head-office applications securely.
